evolution gets behind the Vinnies CEO Sleepout 2014

Aimed to bring the issue of homelessness to the forefront, the Vinnes CEO Sleepout is a unique event for business leaders to inspire and effect long-term change towards homelessness by taking up the challenge to sleep rough for a night.

evolution media group is getting behind the cause to help raise funds to support over 100,000 Australians who find themselves homeless each night of the year.

Managing Director, Marcus Field will be representing evolution media group at the 2014 Sleepout tonight, kicking off at 7pm at Carriageworks and Eveleigh Market.

Participants are encouraged to rug up and remain open-minded for a good cause; given nothing more than a beanie, a sheet of cardboard and a cup of soup and are responsible for finding a place to bed down for the night.

Field will be alongside 1,200 business, government and community leaders taking part in this event held across Australia.

“Vinnies do a great job at raising awareness and educating the more fortunate about what it means to be without food or shelter,” Field said.

“It’s really rewarding to be able to stand alongside other like-minded corporates and raise money for homelessness – especially going into the cooler winter months.”

St Vincent De Paul’s Vinnie’s CEO Sleepout has collectively raised, since its inception in 2006, over $19 million to support their work with people experiencing homelessness across Australia.
